Walking tour, Den Haag

Photos made for a friend's first walking tour as a guide — canal-house facades, heritage plaques, and the group under the trees.

A friend led their first walking tour through Den Haag this June, and I came along to photograph it. The route ran past canal-house facades and a string of heritage plaques — Spinoza’s house on Paviljoensgracht, where he spent his final years, and Sociëteit De Witte on Plein, the members’ club that has faced the square since 1807.

Most of the set is the group stopped in front of one plaque or another, reading, listening, moving on. A few frames are just the buildings, caught between stops while everyone else was still walking.
